Happy 7 Months precious boy!

Dear Kaden,

I can't believe how fast time is going by...you are now over the six month hump and that much closer to being a YEAR old! Every single day you seem to grow a little more, and I just want to grab a hold of every single second and cherish each moment.

What a month this has been!!!! We took you on your first vacation to see our family in New York. You did so WELL on the airplane, and you loved all the squishy hugs and affection you got from everyone! Not to mention that you were getting your first big tooth duing all of the shenanigans, and handled it so bravely! Your second tooth has cut through, and you are much happier now...the pain seems to have subsided for the time being.

You are sitting up all by yourself, though there is the occasional time where mommy gets too over confident, and sometimes you tip over and take a tumble. You get to where you need to go by rolling all over the place! I know that you are dying to crawl, you can just see that look in your eye!

You love all things water! The pool, the tub, you even took a swim in Uncle Tobe and Aunt Kerry's hot tub when you were in NY, and you absolutely love to splash and kick your legs. Bathtime has become your favorite time of the day, and you yell with excitement the whole time. The only hard part is taking you out, you get so mad everytime!

You LOVE to talk, you says something that sounds an awful lot like "da da da" when you want to be heard, and you sometimes yell at times when there is a lot of noise, as if to say "can you keep it down please".

You are eating so many different foods now, and (yay!) you even have developed a new love for sweet potatoes. Mommy loves to just let you eat with no bib and no clothes on and let you go nuts with the food, and then just throw you in the bathtub! It's like one big fingerpainting party!

I can't wait to see what comes next.

I hope you wrap the world around your finger the same way you've wrapped me!

Love,
your mommy

Got Tooth?

we have a tooth!!! Kaden's middle tooth on the bottom finally popped on through, and the second one is on the way. He is such a little brave soul, and really did not express his anger about the first one coming through. The second tooth seems to be battling quite a bit with him and the poor little man is struggling with the pain. Lots of hugs and cuddles don't seem to be doing the trick. Sophie the giraffe does not seem to be soothing him much anymore, as she did with the first one. I heard amazing things about this homeopathic remedy Camilia, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick either. I was waiting outside the door at Whole Foods this morning before going to work to check out Hylands teething tablets after a loooooooong night of no sleep for either of us. I ended up giving him Motrin, but I am hoping to find something a little more natural that is equally as good. My poor little man, when he hurts, I hurt too....

Chad and Kaden had a special daddy day today at the park and Kaden went on the little swing all by himself for the first time! Chad took this amazing video of him! He loves it! I am taking him again this Friday on my day off since he had so much fun!

Jena Gabinahead knew that I absolutely love Kaden's squishy little naked bod, so she snapped these ridiculously precious shots before she fled town. I'm sure Kaden will hate me one day for posting these, but HOW could I not?

Jena took these shots of Kaden and I blowing bubbles just before she left on her journey back to Brooklyn. Kaden just LOVES bubbles!Never mind my morning bedhead...

Mamaw and Papaw came to visit for a day while taking care of some things with the house that they bought in Las Vegas! We were so happy to see them, and nugget had a blast with them! I love these pics of Mamaw playing with Kaden when she first arrived...

chad and I got to have a rare date night...thanks mamaw and papaw! We had so much fun and know that they loved every moment with the little nugget!

kadens first vacation!

Were back and recovering from our amazing journey to the east coast! what an incredible lovefest it was! We had such a wonderful time, and wish we could have stayed for a while longer! Kaden was so happy to meet his Aunt Kerry and Uncle Tobe, and all his amazing cousins and "TTs". He had so much fun staying at Poppys and Jennifers house, and he had a blast bunkin with the boys at Uncle Tobes! Everyone got together and threw him a Welcome Kaden party, and he got a chance to meet so many amazing souls! It was so wonderful....awesome food, so much love, and the rain even managed to stay away for the day! Kaden got a little overstimulated seeing so many beautiful faces smiling at him, but being the hyper emotional little man, just like his mommy, I know it was his way of marinating in the lovefest and loving every minute of it!

these were taken in the airport during our layover at O'Hare...he was such a good boy and braved the flight like the rockstar that he is! Several people told us that he was amazing on the flight...I'm sure those were the same people that saw us sit down when we got on the plane and groaned at the possibilities of sitting next to an infant on such a long flight!
